The technical assistance provided technical support to the Energy and Water Agency, government agency under the Ministry for Energy and Water Management (MEW) for the purpose of finalising the National Energy and Climate Plan (NECP) in line with the requirements of the NECP framework.
E4SMA delivered:
- Technical support, through a full-time resident advisor in Malta, for the purpose of drafting the NECP.
- Assist in-house technical experts within MEW in preparing reference and policy scenarios in line with the requirements of the NECP framework in a timely manner.
- Guidance to MEW on the analytical basis of the NECP and on the development of projection scenarios up to 2030 and beyond.
