Region: Scotland
Client: Scottish Government
The aim of this project is to develop a Whole System Energy Model for Scotland to support the Scottish Government to inform its Third Report on Proposals and Policies in relation to Climate Change (RPP3).
This comprehensive model allows the exploration of Scotland-specific energy futures, supporting the formulation of a coordinated set of policies and proposals to enable Scotland to reach its ambitious climate change and renewable generation targets in a cost-effective way, while ensuring security of supply. The model considers interactions between different sectors, and to link with existing sector models of the Scottish energy system, in order to maximise its utility for policy makers.
